She is little, but she is mighty!

Caterina or better known as mom has been on a long journey to get here. She is now a well accomplished chef who has worked along side some extremely talented people including Paul Prudhomme but if you ask her who was most instrumental in her life long passion of cooking she would tell you that her nona comes first. As a little girl cooking in a small kitchen in her home town of Calabria, Italy she would spend all day long creating beautiful dishes for family and friends while the other children played outside. The kitchen has always been where her heart is. Caterina moved to the United States at 16 years of age and worked her way to the dream she now lives. The family collectively has 8 restaurants in Seattle, Los Angeles, Laguna Beach and Kauai. She is the Executive Chef at each location.

Mariya is an extension of our family and has made it her mission to execute the recipes past down from generations before to the best of her ability. You can say she delivers. She has been holding down the kitchen, the pillar of Lucia for over 15 years now. She has been fortunate enough to work side by side with mom Caterina and has grown into an incredible chef.
